Sorry this post is later than usual, had a plumber drop by to fix my shower which took forever and then I spent at least a half hour trying to calm down Calvin after finally finding where he had hidden 💔 it breaks my heart how much anxiety Calvin get's from men and other large presence people in general... I softly sang him our lil song (Oh Darlin' by the beatles except it's either "oh Calvin" or "oh susie" "please believe meee. I'll never do you no haaarm") and pet him, said all of our calming phrases and laid with him giving him scritchies. Susie ran in and meowed loudly a few times and then ran out. She's helping in her own Susie way. He's still in the hiding spot but he's relaxed a bit now. ❤️ I'm going to try and keep the rest of the day as calm as possible for him. and for my sake too, at this point.
